Custom pins and badges
Custom pins and badges show team affiliation, celebrate a campaign, or communicate a short event message. Button badges, metal pins, and name badges serve different needs. Choose based on how long the badge will be worn and the clothing it will be attached to.
Choosing badge size and fastening
Compare diameter, shape, attachment, and text readability. A campaign badge should be visible at a distance, while a small metal pin can remain discreet. For name badges, use clear typography and ask whether names can be added or changed later.
A campaign message must read clearly at the badge’s actual size, not only enlarged on screen. Decide between a one-event design and a lasting team symbol before adding dates. For name badges, prepare a checklist and consider how to order matching badges later for new employees.
Campaign badge, team pin or name badge?
A badge for a single event can carry a bold message and bright colors. A lasting team symbol benefits from artwork that remains relevant at future events. If the badge will form part of a uniform, assess its size and weight on the actual garment.
For a name badge, the person’s name is the priority. The company logo and job title should support it rather than compete for the same small area. Multilingual service teams may also need a language identifier, provided the additional information stays easy to understand.
- Choose the size for the viewing distance and message.
- Check the fastening against the clothing material.
- Separate shared artwork from information that changes on each badge.
- Plan for matching additions when new staff join.
The reverse matters as much as the front. A fastening should be comfortable to use and hold the badge in the intended position. The same item can sit differently on a thin blouse and a thick jacket, so it helps to trial it with the actual clothing.
Badge artwork and production
Printed designs, relief details and coloured metal surfaces produce different effects. Assess fine lines and gradients against the selected manufacturing method.
A domed protective layer, a printed surface and relief metalwork create different effects. A gradient logo may need a different treatment from a simple single-color symbol. Check edge allowances and the smallest lettering before production. The space required for the fitting may also limit a custom-shaped badge.

Badge materials and finishes to compare
Compare the custom bamboo badge, custom badge with domed sticker and Epobadge Maxi. They offer different material and surface-finish options. The precise outline, fastening, and design area depend on the model and order specification. For personalized versions, confirm separately how you'll add names or roles.
Order badges for your company or event
Choose the fastening for the wearing situation. Follow the manufacturer’s information for magnetic fittings, and assess pin fittings against the intended garment.
Send your logo, intended use, quantity and deadline. For name badges, include the names and roles; for bespoke designs, add the preferred shape or dimensions. Kingivabrik can help you choose the material, fit, and production method.
